HybridCenter.org Driving Change Network Earth Day Challenge ‘07 Contest & Sweepstakes

1) GENERAL: No purchase necessary to enter. Promotion begins at 12:01 a.m. (EST) on 04/20/07 and ends at 11:59 p.m. (EST) on 05/28/07.

2) TO ENTER: To enter online, complete and submit electronically the online entry form at http://ucsaction.org/campaign/04_18_07_Toyota_Hybrid_Minivan/forward. A qualifying contestant will fill in individual e-mail addresses to be informed of the action item on this website: http://ucsaction.org/campaign/04_18_07_Toyota_Hybrid_Minivan. If at least ten (10) persons from of the contestant’s e-mail address list take action, the contestant will be automatically entered into a random drawing for the GRAND PRIZE (see section 3 below). If at least five (5) persons from of the contestant’s e-mail address list take action, the contestant will be automatically entered into a random drawing for the SECOND PRIZE (see section 3 below). For each additional ten (10) persons from the contestant’s e-mail address that take action, the contestant will be given one (1) additional entry into a random drawing for the GRAND PRIZE (see section 3 below).

UCS can only track individual actions taken if persons from the contestant’s e-mail address list use the embedded link given to them in the message sent by UCS. Therefore, only those who take action through clicking directly from the link embedded in the e-mail sent to the contestant’s e-mail address list by UCS will be counted toward the contestant’s qualifying total. Online entrants must complete entire entry form to be eligible. Because qualified contestants are based on an online activity, registration for this contest and sweepstakes will be online only. Only one prize will be given per contestant. Submissions from online automated sweepstakes entry systems are not permitted and will be void. Sponsor assumes no responsibility for any computer, online, telephone, or human error or technical malfunctions that may occur. All entries become the property of the Sponsor and will not be returned.

The Union of Concerned Scientists is committed to maintaining your confidence and trust. We maintain the following privacy policy to protect personal information you provide online. We will not share your information with any third-party organization without your explicit permission to do so. Personal information you provide is stored in a secure location and is accessible only by designated staff. UCS does not maintain the email addresses of friends you contact who choose not to take action on our website. We will not contact any of your friends unless they choose to sign up for one of UCS's newsletters or our action network.

4) WINNER SELECTION: A random drawing will be conducted on or about 06/01/07. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.

5) ELIGIBILITY: This sweepstakes is open only to legal residents of the United States, 18 years of age or older at the time of entry. Void in Puerto Rico and where prohibited by law. Employees of the Union of Concerned Scientists, the Better World Club, and their respective affiliates, parent companies, subsidiaries, promotion, advertising and promotional agencies and the immediate family members of each are not eligible to enter.

6) GENERAL CONDITIONS: Sweepstakes entrants agree to be bound by the terms of these official rules. The laws of the United States govern this Sweepstakes. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. By entering, participants release and hold harmless sponsor and their respective subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, prize suppliers, employees and/or agents from any and all liability or any injuries, loss or damage of any kind arising from or in connection with this Sweepstakes or acceptance or use of any prize won.

7) INTERNET: Sponsor is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or telephone lines, computer on-line systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any e-mail or entry to be received by sponsors on account of technical problems, human error or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any Web site, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to participant's or any other person's computer relating to or resulting from participation in this Sweepstakes. In the event of a dispute regarding entries received from multiple users having the same email account, the authorized subscriber of the email account used to enter will be deemed to be the entrant and must comply with these rules. Authorized account subscriber is the natural person who is assigned the e-mail address by the Internet Service Provider (ISP), on-line service provider, or other organization responsible for assigning e-mail addresses.

8) WINNER'S NAME: The winners will be notified by email and the names will be posted on http://www.www.hybridcenter.org on or about the date of 06/08/07.
